Johnson outboard oil injection system. 2 Disconnect the oil side and run the existing Vro pump as a pre-mix pump 3 replace the existing VRO pump with the 88 hp pump. I have been calling dealers for a replacement oil reservoir and all the dealers are telling me to disconnect it and mix your oil with your gas. One of the few advantages to the OMC oil injection system is that it is very simple no mechanical pumpsmachinery to worry about. The OMC system does have an oil flow alarm as well to let you know if the system is malfunctioning.

Remember the VRO pumps oil on the order of 501 maybe 1001 at idle. So you should try to note how much gasoline you are using after you put a series of precise lines on your VRO reservoir. Remember to have the boat on the same angle each time you read the oil level.
