GM does not distinguish between the towing capacity of the 4-cyl manual and the 4-cyl automatic. I used to have a 1989 4-cyl manual Nissan pickup just sold - still running after 26 years. The diesel comes next year. You have a manual 4cyl which give or take a few hundred are rated around 2000lbs. This trailer will be double your capacity so the dealer is going to say no if they go by the book.
For this one time I would still say you should be ok because the truck can physically handle the weight since there are guys here that tow over 5000lbs with their 5cyl. The 2015 GMC Canyon which they build right across the street from us cannot tow a 5th wheel trailer. The bed is too narrow and none of the manufacturers make an installation kit that will fit it.
