Ive been seeing milky residue under the oil cap and hose you said it could be from cold weather and short distance trips but Im starting to worry.
As far as the gas smell in the oil my vote would go to piston rings or bad fuel injector. Some more intel would be helpful but at any rate you certainly have an issue going on. Please keep posted interested to see what the culprit is.
2 Mar 4 2013. The P0420 is most likely due to the engines condition. Prior instances of the code were probably due to poor performance also.
Gas in the oil is generally bad rings. It will be coupled with lower compression. The gasoline dilutes the oil so you lose lubrication in the engine.
OMG i just want to say thanks to everyone who has posted here. I started smelling gas fumes a week ago and it keeps getting stronger.
