When filling the tank I get an excessive amount of gas coming out of the vent on the side of the boat. Sometimes it actually shoots out in a stream though the tank is nowhere near full It would require MAJOR work to get to the tank at the point the vent tube connects therefore I cant take it apart and diagnosefix the problem. It sounds to me like the vent tube is inside the tank. It should just be attached to the top not inside the fuel. When you blow on the vent and hear bubbles I see a problem there.
You should be able to pressurize the tank by blowing but you shouldnt be hearing bubbles. Make sure that the vent line is not in the fuel and you should be fine. Carlyle Lake IL.
Had the fuel starvation problem mentioned above on my 17 SX22 found the tank vent and it was nearly completely clogged up. Will test it again on Sunday but my son said the fuel bulb was collapsed and the boat wouldnt start until he loosened up the fuel cap. Dealer removed 15-20 gallons from the tank drained the tank - gauge read 1 bar at that point. Then they attempted to re-fuel. The boat took 21 gallons at normal speed then stopped taking fuel completely after multiple attempts at various speeds angles etc.

I see it spitting out water while fueling and theres a distinct hissing sound as the gas tank desperately tries to vent.
